My Why: As I reflect on why I want to pursue a career in medicine, I am reminded of author and philosopher Ralph Waldo Emerson's words, "Life is a journey, not a destination." These words have been a constant reminder that the path to success is not always linear, but instead is full of twists and turns that make the journey worthwhile.

My Why: Becoming a physician is not merely a career choice for me; it's a profound commitment fueled by a convergence of personal experiences and a fervent desire for change. I am determined to be a driving force in transforming the healthcare landscape of Nigeria and beyond, embodying the change I wish to see in the world.

My Why: In the grand scheme of life, meaningful connections are paramount." This sentiment from Paul Kalanithi's memoir, "When Breath Becomes Air," deeply resonates with my journey and my resolute decision to embark on the path of becoming a physician.

My Why: It is the only occupation that can actually assist someone in saving their mother, father, brother, or other close relative. People can only trust someone who empathizes with them. And I think that's what my life is all about—serving others and making an effect.

My Why: For her. For the little girls that are sent out to make money cleaning windshields between traffic. For Carlita who became a mother at fourteen. For the women who endure the changes and pains of menopause in silence. For her education and most importantly for her quality of life.

My Why: As a child, one of the things that brought me joy was helping the underdog, the one no one was looking at. My dad taught me at a young age, to help is to give all you can without expecting anything and be happy about it. Since I was at that age I wanted to become a doctor, to change the world of one person at a time. To give hope, compassion, a shoulder of support to every single person who needs me. That combined with my passion and curiosity about science and human body formed my purpose.

My Why: I have always been amazed by so many things, such as: the mechanism in an airplane that can make it fly. In the same way, I marvel at how the human body works with a perfectly synchronized “mechanism.” I am passionate about being able to understand how it works and having the opportunity to analyze what happens when it fails, and thus be able to help and serve others.
Our Vision
Our vision is of a world where every individual can access essential healthcare, supported by both current and future physicians dedicated to achieving global health equity for generations to come.

Medical Education
Mission: Democratize medical education
Our mission is to democratize medical education by breaking down barriers for IMGs. We provide free access to resources, programs, opportunities, and experiences such as USMLE preparation, mentorship, clinical rotations, and medical research that are critical to successfully advancing in a medical career.

Humanitarian Service
Mission: Advance health equity
Medicine is more than knowledge, it is service. Through the Unity Agent program and community health initiatives, IMGs bring care to vulnerable communities by volunteering in free clinics, supporting underserved patients, and leading health campaigns where care is needed most.
